Southern Gentleman :
Although considered a Southern-inspired gastropub in the new Buckhead Atlanta development, it seems to be much more than that. The concept celebrates every aspect of what it means to be from the South with a fresh, modern take on traditional dishes made with locally sourced ingredients.
One step into the quaintly stylish interior and your likely to be awe stuck by the camel toned leather booths, seersucker curtains, and large white marble bar tops that circulate the front. A peak into the side room which accommodates large reservations in complete
with a locally commissioned portrait of Mark Twain.
The restaurant has been keeping it's hundred plus occupancy regularly busy several days a week and the bar patrons tend to pack several deep with chic-y singles and couples mingling over creative bourbon cocktails or martinis. The food ranges from delectable small plates like lightly fried deviled eggs, pickled shrimp toast and mini-andouille corn dogs to lavish entrees such as duck confit and braised pork shoulder over collards. It's a tasteful homage to some older days of time but one that still seems perfectly in line with today's modern Atlanta charm.
